Hackl informed some ppl before it was official and we had a discussion what "clan based" does really mean for you.
There are certainly some ppl who are in a clan, but they want to play with others (non-clan-mates) to have better chances, so is it allowed to create an "ESO-only" clan just for the time of the tourney?
Or is it, for example, necessary that the two players have been in the same clan for, uhm, let's say two weeks?
We didn't find out what you really want. Is it a 2v2-tourney, with a slightly higher skill-level or do you want to emphasise the "clan-based", so the tourney would most likely more exciting.
Or well, for example i know of [ACC]Groni, who is the best player in his clan by far so it doesn't make sense for him to play with one of his clan mates (well... he likes them, so he definitely won't really leaven the clan) so he'd like to play with some other guy.

guile described my situation quite well
i d like to see if there could be some exceptions by admin decision for players in a situation like mine
a rule like this forces good players in weaker clans(like me) to leave their clans and join a strong clan what i think isnt something this cup wants to.

and what happen if ppl have only high level home cities with 1 civ only? they play next games with lvl1 HC?? sounds weird....
just don't allow same civ if you make changes
just don't allow same civ if you make changes
Yeah.. I didn't forget about players who heve only 1 or 2 High lvl Civs.
Of course almost everyone here have only that kindda lvlCivs, cause of game life time. BUT:
Finch said this INS'T an Experts only Tournament! So no worry about gaming lvls.
Of course will to be only experts in final stages, but if it's kindda 'league', will be very massive to see months of matches between [Gers vs Gers vs Spains] till the end.
I know everyone here want to do their best to get that prizes and win!
But Experts are the onlyones who couldn't whine around they "can't play" other than standart Civs and can't play in competitive way with a Civ lvl1!
WtH? Experts are Experts!!!

Its gay that ppl who are good with one sort of civ, and then cant play it becouse his pard is best with the same civ...No matter if the civ is "op" or not. Not everyone started to play the "op" Germans after the patch, they acctually like the civ and has played its since 1.03 or 1.04...

also I wanna know how long does the league take
All depends on how much signed up teams we will have. Each round will have exact deadline to have all matches played (i think it will be round per week in early stages and maybe 2 rounds per week in semis/final matches). So, it will take about 6-7 weeks to finish this event (but all depends on number of participants).

It's just impossible to please every single player ~~
Note: I'm here thinking like the public who will enjoy the tournament from outside.
So in my case, I'm not trying to favour any player.
Me and friends just want to watch a fair and 'Diverse' Tournament.
Everyone here knows that will suck if this gonna be Gers x Gers till the end.
BUT: Everyone wanna win! So, can staff really implement any restrictions???
Is that FAIR??? Fair from who to who?
Implement restrictions for Gers + Gers, will be fair to Non-Gers Players or
lower lvlGers. But will not be fair to lvled Gers. So it is not FAIR anyway.
The samething to anyother Civ. But, if everyone can&can't play their best
Civs in randomic games, doesn't matter what Civ he is, it will be fair or not.
BUT, it will be to 'everyone'!
So lets see how will this thing work...

I agree with Starsky and the others here...
If you allow players to pick up the same civ, you'll have a mass of double german civ... which will end in massive War Wagons fight, which is extremly boring.
I'm sure the large majority would agree with this, let's say 80% (if not more) would be ok with this. The only ones that were negative to this idea are 2 guys who plays double german. It says it all.
Please add this as a change, or make a poll. At least take this into account and try to do something...
