About Legion Clan, Rules and How to join us
The Legion Clan History

In the beginning of 1999, after the release of Age of Empires, a small group of AOE fans from Kazakhstan, such as L_Clan_ARBALET, L_Clan_MARKIZA, L_Clan_MARS, L_Clan_BOZMAN, L_Clan_ALEX and L_Clan_SAN_KZ, after some time playing it on LAN, decided to start playing it on-line, starting The Legion Clan. The Clan started with about 20 members, all of them from Kazakhstan. After hosting the first AoE Almaty Championship, in 1999, some other members joined, most of them from Almaty (Kazakhstan).

After openning the Legion Clan Website (www.legion.kz), the clan started tp grow a lot in many aspects (the amount of players and the different places these players were from). At this time, the Legion Clan Club was opened in Almaty, which was equiped with top-computers and fast internet access.

The main founder and sponsor of Legion - ARBALET, organized a great amount of tournaments, some of them on-line and some of them off-line, such as Almaty Open DM Tournament (1999), International Tournament in Almaty (2000), Moscow Cup 2001, The Legion Cup, ARBALET Cup 1 and 2, Friendship Cup Korea 2002, ARBALET Cup Brazil and many other great events.

We try to maintain friendly relationships with all the clans and site around, or in other words, with the community overall.

Legion clan has a lot of experienced players, and some of these players disputed very important tournaments such as World Cyber Games, ESWC, Europe Cyber Games etc, always trying to achieve the best results possible.

Over 200 different players, from over 30 different countries have passed thru Legion Clan... One of the main attractives was that Legion carries weekly tournaments with money prizes, sponsored by ARBALET. In the end of each month, we had a tournament to define the best legionary of the month, and in the end fo the year, we had best legionary of the year to decide the best legionary over the year.

Unfortunately, on october 16th, L_Clan_ARBALET and L_Clan_MARKIZA decided to quit Legion Clan, giving the leadership to 3 Legion Clan members: L_Clan_Finch, L_Clan_Ugnis and L_Clan_MARS. ARBALET and MARKIZA will stay forever in our memories and will always have their spots reserved here in Legion Clan. One thing that still keeps them somehow connected to the clan is that the clan is still sponsored by ARBALET. Later on, due to real life reasons, MARS had to leave Legion Clan as well, giving his leadership spot to L_Clan_Nikros, another loyal legionary. We´d like to leave here our sincere thanks to all these guys who passed thru Legion Clan life, specially to ARBALET, MARKIZA, SAN_KZ and DEN_KZ, for all they did and created to Legion Clan! Our sincere thank you to all of them!

Clan Rules

- Respect everybody, even your enemies.
- Be honest.
- Be a loyal member (you can NOT be in 2 or more clans - only in Legion).
- Be an active member, participating heavily in the clan life.
- Have at least a basic knowledge of the english language.
- Have a link to Legion Clan Website in your Zone nickname profile.
- Play one of our official games (AoC or W3:TFT).
- Inform in forums in case of leaving our clan or long absences (more than 2 weeks).

How to join the Legion Clan

If you fit all the clan rules, and you´re interested in being a member of the Legion Clan, register yourself in our site using the L_Clan_ tag before your nickname. Once you did it, post in the forum for trial members (Forum for those who want to join The Legion Clan), informing us that you want to join our clan and telling some of your background (both real life and gamming life). Once you did it, you´re officially a Legion Clan Trial Member.

Try then to be as active as possible, play many games as possible using your L_Clan nickname. Usually once per month or so (sometimes it takes longer), Legion leaders remove the inactive full members and add some of the best trials (taking in account various factors, such as gamming activity, forums activity, overall behaviour etc - do not mistake activity with flooding forums or fooling around, please), so these chosen trials become full members. Each time this happens, a news announcement in our main page is done, informing all the trials who became full members. Once you´re a full member, you have access to all the features a full member has, such as access to the internal tournaments, access to the private forums, etc.
